Delhi Metro restricts entry and exit at 57 stations from October 9 night ahead of the CJP protest on October 10, 2026. Check the full list and travel advisory.
The Delhi Police has sought major security measures in view of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest planned at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 10, 2026. The police have requested the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to close the entry and exit gates of 57 metro stations in the capital to prevent large crowds from moving towards sensitive areas during the protest and maintain law and order.
According to reports, this list includes stations in the central, north, south, and eastern parts of Delhi. Interchange facilities will be available at the affected stations, but this facility will also be closed at the New Delhi Metro station.
When will the restrictions be in effect
According to the DMRC announcement, entry and exit facilities at the 57 relevant metro stations have been closed from 9 pm on October 9, 2026. These restrictions will remain in place until further orders on October 10, 2026.
However, interchange facilities will remain available at the affected stations. The exception is the New Delhi Metro Station, where interchange facilities will not be available. Depending on the security situation, the frequency of metro trains passing through the relevant stations may also be reduced.
