Bhopal & Indore Metro Allow Birthday Parties and Pre-Wedding Shoots on Trains

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has launched a new program called "Celebrations on Wheels" for the Bhopal and Indore Metro networks. Under this program, people can celebrate birthdays and hold pre-wedding photoshoots within Bhopal and Indore Metro trains and station premises. Its aim is to promote metro-based experiential activities and generate additional revenue for the urban transport system without charging fares.

The charges for this facility are ₹5,000 per hour for an undecorated stationary metro coach and ₹7,000 per hour for an undecorated moving metro coach. Notably, this initiative will allow the shooting of web series, documentaries, and advertising productions. Additionally, events and gatherings such as birthday parties, kitty parties, and other creative activities will also be permitted within the Metro premises.

Terms & Conditions for Metro Birthday & Event Bookings

• Maximum of 50 people allowed per booking
• Applications must be submitted at least 15 days in advance
• Booking will be on a first-come, first-served basis
• ₹5,000 per hour for a stationary metro coach
• ₹7,000 per hour for a moving metro coach
• ₹5,000 per hour package for up to 50 people (birthday / pre-wedding / kitty party)
• ₹20,000 refundable security deposit
• Alcohol, smoking, flammable materials, and firecrackers are strictly not allowed

You can submit your application to the office of the General Manager (GM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) at the Gandhi Nagar Depot of the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation. Metro Managing Director S. Krishna Chaitanya said this initiative was initiated to address the changing urban lifestyles and cultural needs of Indore and Bhopal. Its goal is to bring the metro closer to the public.
