GMCBL will induct 25 new BS-VI CNG buses in Gurugram to replace ageing vehicles, enhancing commuter comfort and strengthening the city's public transport network.

To strengthen the public transport network in Gurugram, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) has approved the induction of 25 new BS-VI CNG buses. These new buses will replace old buses that have been in operation for several years, improving reliability, passenger comfort, and operational efficiency. This decision was taken at the GMCBL board meeting as part of the ongoing efforts to modernize the city's bus fleet.

New buses will replace the old fleet

The approved buses will be 12-meter-long, standard-floor BS-VI CNG buses, each with a seating capacity of 36 passengers. These buses will gradually replace older vehicles that have become less efficient due to age and frequent operation.

This bus fleet upgrade is expected to reduce maintenance costs and provide passengers with a cleaner and more comfortable travel experience. BS-VI emission standards will also help reduce vehicular pollution compared to older buses.

Part of Gurugram's Public Transport Expansion

The new CNG buses are part of GMCBL's comprehensive plan to improve public transport in Gurugram. Recently, the city also added its first electric bus, and 24 more electric buses are expected to join the fleet soon. The combination of new BS-VI CNG buses and electric buses aims to expand bus services and promote clean urban transportation.

GMCBL continues to modernize its bus services

The city bus network in the Gurugram Metropolitan Area is operated by GMCBL. Replacing older buses is expected to improve service reliability and reduce breakdowns, making daily operations smoother for passengers. This move is also in line with the city's goal of providing environmentally friendly and efficient public transportation services.
