There will be parking at 16 stations of Noida Greno Metro line. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has issued tender for this. Agencies can apply till 25th November. There are 21 metro stations on this line. NMRC officials said that out of 21 stations, only three-four stations have parking facility, whereas out of 21 metro stations, 16 stations have sufficient space for parking.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited temporarily suspends tunnelling near Kutchery Road due to gas leak. Officials say gas detectors detected small amounts of methane and carbon monoxide in the tunnel. They are pumping fresh air into the tunnel and are looking for the source of the leak in order to plug it.

Services on Howrah Maidan-Esplanade stretch to be rescheduled from Monday. From the 11 November metro services in the west-bound tunnel will operate between Howrah Maidan and Mahakaran stations. This change will apply during working hours on weekdays, from 6:55 am to 10 pm On Sundays, metro services in the east-bound tunnel will run from 2:15 pm to 9:50 pm, as per the revised schedule.

The project includes three double-decker flyovers, advisory facilities, and central-state funding, with 44.65 km of land acquisition in progress across identified properties.

Kanpur Metro: Trial run from Moti Jheel to Kanpur Central to commence soon. Kanpur Metro's preparations for the commercial operation from IIT to Kanpur Central station are now in the final stage. For this, boring is being done up to 40 meters deep in the ground. At many places it is up to 60 to 70 meters. This boring will be done at night, while during the day the road will be kept open for general traffic.

Another controversial video of IAS officer Pooja Khedkar's mother has surfaced, in which she is seen arguing with Pune Metro officials and police personnel over construction material being kept near her bungalow. The video, which dates back to 2022, was shot outside the Khedkar family's bungalow on Baner Road in Pune. The construction of the Pune Metro line between Shivaji Nagar and Hinjewadi was underway at the time, so workers had kept equipment on the pavement near Khedkar's bungalow.

South India's first road-cum-metro flyover will open to traffic on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The 3.36 km long flyover starts from Ragigudda metro station and goes up to Silk Board junction under the Yellow Line, which is scheduled to be opened this December. The flyover will have a total of five ramps. Ramps A, B and C are ready while work on ramps D and E is still underway and is scheduled to be completed in May 2025.

MMMOCL has identified about 72,000 sq ft of available space at around 30 stations on these metro lines. By leasing out these spaces, which include areas such as D.N. Nagar (17,079 sq ft), Lower Oshivar (2,783 sq ft), Valanai (2,853 sq ft) and Anandanagar (3,053 sq ft), the corporation aims to generate a monthly rental income of around Rs 1.15 crore.

Along with the construction of elevated and underground routes of Patna Metro, work is also going on rapidly in the direction of how the stations will be designed. It is being told that platform screen doors (PSD) are going to be installed at Patna Metro stations. Let us tell you that these PSDs are like transparent doors, which are installed between the platform and the metro track. The screen door remains closed before the metro train arrives at the station and as soon as the metro train stands on the platform, these doors open automatically.

UPSSF was till now deployed in the security system of Agra Metro but from today the responsibility of security of Agra Court premises has also been officially handed over to UPSSF. Today, after taking charge, UPSSF jawans patrolled the entire court premises and inspected every corner of the court. 102 UPSSF jawans have been deployed in Agra Court premises who will now handle the entire security system which includes 100 male and 2 female personnel.

For the convenience of passengers, the timing of Lucknow Metro has been extended. From Monday, the metro will run till 10:30 pm. Till now it used to run from 6 am to 10 pm only. According to the public relations department of the metro, from Monday, the last metro will leave from Munshipulia and Amausi Airport metro station at 10:30 pm. This change will provide relief to those who travel till late night.

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on Monday flagged off a train manufactured by BEML for the Mumbai Metro network in Bengaluru, the 55th train for Lines 2 and 7 of the Mumbai Metro. It can carry 2,306 passengers with a seating capacity of 298. A news release issued by BEML said it has bagged the order for design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning and training of 96 trainsets for Rs 4,319 crore.
