To encourage people to use bicycles for short trips to metro stations, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has decided to provide free bicycle parking at nine metro stations in the city. These stations are spread across three lines: two on the Purple Line, three on the Green Line, and four on the newly built Yellow Line.

As per the MoU signed between China's CRRC Corporation Limited and Titagarh Rail Systems, Titagarh Rail Systems will supply 14 trains for the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro and 20 train sets for the Purple Line.
