Residents of New Gurugram and the Dwarka Expressway sector, in a meeting with Gurugram MP and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Rao Inderjit Singh, have emphasized the need to expedite the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro line to Gurugram and also requested a direct bus service connecting the city with Yashobhoomi in Delhi's Dwarka Sector 24. The Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) on Monday said it has issued the allotment letter to a joint venture of Dilip Buildcon and Ranjit Buildcon for construction of the first phase of the Gurugram Metro from Millennium City Centre to Sector 9 metro station. Under the first phase, 15 stations will be built.
