The Noida Metro in Uttar Pradesh is planning an expansion by February-March, with services extending from Botanical Garden to Sector-142. NMRC Managing Director Dr. Lokesh M. presented the plan to the Public Investment Board, where the response was positive. Approval is expected within a week, after which the tendering process will begin. Meanwhile, the detailed design drawings will also be completed; a company has already been selected for this work.

Finishing work is now underway, following which several stations, including RBS, are taking shape. Metro services will soon begin operating to RBS College. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is constructing a metro project in Agra at a cost of approximately ₹8,000 crore. Construction work from RBS College Metro Station to Khandari Ramp, part of the first corridor from Sikandra to Taj East Gate, has been completed. Track laying is also progressing rapidly. RBS College Metro Station will provide improved connectivity for college-goers and passengers traveling to and from nearby areas such as Delhi Gate, Sanjay Place, and Khandari.

Work on preparing detailed designs for three proposed metro routes will begin in December. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has issued a tender for appointment of a detail design consultant (DDC) to design the civil, architectural, electrical and mechanical components for all three extension projects of the Aqua Line - Sector 51 to Knowledge Park V, Sector 51 to Sector 142 and Depot to Boraki. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) on Thursday said the central government has approved a 2.6 km extension of the Noida Metro's 29.7 km long Aqua Line from its depot station to Bodaki in Greater Noida, where a multi-modal logistics hub is proposed. Two other extensions--an 11.56 km long link from Botanical Garden to Noida Sector 142 and a 5 km long link from Noida Sector 51 to Knowledge Park 5 in Greater Noida West--are awaiting central government approval.

The number of passengers in Aqua Metro in Noida is increasing. For the last two months, the number of passengers is crossing 74 thousand every Monday and Friday. However, the situation is the same on other days. Only 32 to 34 thousand people travel on Sundays.

Parking facility is going to be available on Noida-Greater Noida Metro i.e. Aqua Line. This parking facility will be available at 12 stations. Three agencies have come forward to run the parking. These agencies are being examined under the technical bid. After this, the financial bid will be opened. As soon as the agencies are selected in the financial bid, they will get permission to run the parking.

Yogi Adityanath has approved the expansion of the Aqua Line Metro Corridor in Noida. The metro will connect Noida to Knowledge Park in Greater Noida. There will be 11 new metro stations on this 17.435 km long route. This project costing Rs 2,991 crore will make travel between Noida and Greater Noida easy and convenient.

There will be parking at 16 stations of Noida Greno Metro line. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has issued tender for this. Agencies can apply till 25th November. There are 21 metro stations on this line. NMRC officials said that out of 21 stations, only three-four stations have parking facility, whereas out of 21 metro stations, 16 stations have sufficient space for parking.

UP Cabinet has approved the DPR (Detail Project Report) for adding two more stations to the existing line of Aqua Line Metro of Noida Metro. According to TOI, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has proposed a revised route plan for the extension of the Blue Line from Noida Electronic City to improve multi-modal connectivity. The plan includes construction of a metro station at Shahiabad opposite the rapid rail at Vasundhara. The five stations on the proposed route – Vaibhav Khand, DPS Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhara Sector 5 and Sahibabad – will pass through Indirapuram and Vasundhara.

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will set up parking facilities at eight stations of the Aqua Line. These stations are Sector 101, 83, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147 and 148. Each facility will be built to accommodate approximately 300 vehicles. As of now, there are parking lots at eight stations – Sectors 51, 76, 137, 142, NSEZ, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 and Delta 1.

Noida Metro officials said on November 29 that the plan to extend the metro line from Sector 142 to Botanical Garden stations has been sent to the local authorities for their approval. Knowledge Park 2 metro station of Aqua Line is the nearest metro station to the trade show venue. The station is about 500 meters from the Expo Centre.
