Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (APMRC) will organize a two-day developers and investors' meet in Mumbai on January 31 and February 1 for the implementation of the Vizag Metro Rail (VMR) project in public-private partnership (PPP) mode. Besides this, corporation officials will also attend the meeting of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in New Delhi on Monday.

Prime Minister will inaugurate Metro in Agra in the first week of March. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present. The trial is in the final phase. The priority six km long track has been built. Three km elevated track from PAC Ground to TDI Mall and three km underground track from Purani Mandi Tiraha to Mankameshwar Temple are included. The metro track in the city will be 30 km long. It will be 14 km long from Sikandra Tiraha to TDI Mall and 16 km long from Agra Cantt station to Kalindi Vihar.

Construction of a world class heritage tunnel in Patna will connect the old Patna Museum with the new Bihar Museum. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been selected for the tunneling work. The 1.5 km long tunnel will pass through various sites and its construction will begin on December 20. The tunnel will be built using the latest technology and will showcase artwork and artefacts including Madhubani paintings. The project is expected to be completed within three years with a budget of Rs 542 crore.

The construction works on Pahse 1 corridors of Patna Metro Rail Project is going on full swing. About 41% of civil work completed so far, revealed Daljeet Singh, Director (Works), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) during his three days inspection of the project sites.

According to Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri, there is no pending proposal from the Andhra Pradesh government for approval of the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail Project. Recalling that the Center had requested the state government to resubmit a proposal as per the Revised Metro Rail Policy, 2017, Puri said no proposal had been submitted in this regard.

The work of Patna Metro Rail Project has gained momentum. The construction work is in progress from Malahi Pakari to ISBT Bus Stand at Bairia. Under the Patna Metro project, a metro station will be built in the Science College campus of Patna University. It will be included in the six underground station routes of Patna under which underground stations are to be built.

The proposed 140km-long mass rapid transit system is slated to change the public transport system in Vizag forever. Covering every corner of the city and suburbs, the project will connect Bhogapuram Airport region in the North to Anakapalle in the south of Vizag. The project is estimated to cost around Rs 20,000 crore. Of the 140.11km-long project, 79.91km is proposed to be developed as a light metro rail system. corridors will have a caternary-free modern tram/metrolite system.
