Calculation of fare:
1. Cash Based Single Journey Ticket
- a. Input : Origin & Destination
- b. System Calculate the Fare
- c. Minimum and Maximum fare for Non-AC Bus - Rs. 10 and Rs. 30
- d. Upto first 10 bus stops : Rs 10
- Upto next 10 bus stops: Rs 20
- More than 20 bus stops: Rs 30
2. Digital Ticket (Digital Cashless Paperless Ticketing)
- a. Stored value smart card.
- b. Discount Rs 2 per journey is allowed as incentive
- c. Minimum and Maximum fare for Non-AC Bus - Rs. 8 and Rs. 28
- d. Upto first 10 bus stops : Rs 8
- Upto next 10 bus stops: Rs 18
- More than 20 bus stops: Rs 28
- e. No refund permissible.
- f. Valid for one year from the date of issuance/last recharge
3. Personalized Smart Card based Ticket
- a. Personalized smart card having photograph of the commuter is available at a charge not exceeding Rs 150.
- b. Bus Fare will remain same as for non-personalized smart card based ticketing.
4. Type of concession
- a. No concession is available.
5. Child Fare Policy:
- There is no fare for child upto age of 12 years. Above 12 years, normal fare will be applicable.
6. Refund Rule
- a. Refund is not allowed against paper ticket and paperless ticket.
- b. Cancelation of ticket is not allowed in any case.
7. Smart Card Based Ticketing: In case of journey by bus, the whole fare of the journey, would be paid at the time of entry. The flow of application would be as follow:
- a. Since the lowest fare, for a single journey ticket is Rs. 8, so bus journey would be allowed if sufficient balance available on card.
- b. In case of bus journey, the fare is already known, so validator, would determine and check, if the card has sufficient balance to pay for the full journey.
- c. If the card has sufficient balance, then validator would debit the fare.
- d. While debiting the fare, validator should ensure that, remaining balance, should remain positive or zero.
- e. While tapping in, validator will charge the maximum fare from the card as applicable on the journey for the route, while tapping out, validator will give the credit back on the card depending upon the bus stops traveled by the commuter.
8. Usage of Buses by other Authority:
- In case of usage of GMCBL buses by other authorities, concerned authorities have to pay in advance fare on per kms basis, as paid by GMCBL to the bus concessionaire, for the anticipated kms for which the buses are needed. Only on receipt of advance, application can be considered for evaluation. CEO, GMCBL has right to accept or reject such application at his discretion.
