Bird lovers usually throng this place during winter months as the place is visited by various species of migratory bird. In fact, more than 1800 migratory birds come here. Some of the resident birds of the park are pigeons, purple sunbird, paddy field pipit, hoopoe, etc. The place serves as a very good picnic spot for residents of close by areas. There is an entry of just INR 5 for Indian residents and INR 40 for foreign nationals.
