This gigantic 16th-century Mughal monument also known as the Red Fort of Agra is located near the gardens of the Taj Mahal in Rakabganj. Akbar Tomb, Agra
Akbar's tomb is another brilliant Mughal architectural masterpiece. Built in 1605 and 1613, by his son Jahangir. This final resting place of the great Mughal Emperor spans over an area of 119 acres in Sikandra, in the suburbs of Agra, 8 km west of the city core. The tomb of the Mughal emperor Akbar is an important example of Mughal architectural brilliance. The gold, beautiful jewels, silver ornaments and carpets were plundered from Akbar's tomb constructed in sandstone and white marble.
