Navi Mumbai - is the planned twin city of Mumbai

Navi Mumbai is the satellite city of Mumbai planned along the west coast of the Indian state of Maharashtra in the Konkan division. In a bid to overcome the problem of overpopulation the urban township was developed on the mainland, across from the seven islands of the old city. Development of New Bombay took under the aegis of CIDCO. It has emerged into a significant educational and commercial hub owing to good infrastructure facilities. The city commands uninterrupted power supply, numerous flyovers, excellent motoring facilities, broad and clean roads, and several parking lots. Recreational facilities like central park, Pandav Kada waterfalls, golf course, wonder park, and many more make it a popular tourist destination.
