About Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary
Sultanpur National Park is home to over 250 species of resident and migratory birds. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is located on Gurgaon-Farukh Nagar road at a distance of 40 kms from Dhaula-Kuan in Delhi. In July 1989, the bird sanctuary has been declared a National Park by the Government of Haryana and the credit for its establishment goes to Dr. Salim Ali.
Various species of migratory birds flock here after covering incredible distances from different parts of Europe, Siberia and Central Asia. To make the bird watching process more feasible, about four towers have been installed at different points of this property. This place serves as a very good picnic spot for the residents of the surrounding areas.
