Birla Museum, Bhopal

Birla Museum is an archaeological museum situated on the hills. The museum's galleries display many pre-historic artifacts including old coins, original manuscripts, pottery, furnishings and others that were owned by people between the 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD.

1. The museum has a large collection of idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess.
2. The museum also houses a collection of old Indian locks, dolls and some other interesting items.
3. Birla Museum is a part of the Birla Mandir complex which is owned by the Birla family.
4. Most of the stone sculptures date back to 7th to 12th century BC.
5. Birla Museum is a beautiful place as it is situated on the banks of a lake and some scattered hills around it
