Taj ul Masajid, Bhopal

Taj-ul-Masajid is a mosque located in Bhopal, India. The Taj-ul-Masajid has a rich and complex history. Its construction began in the 19th century during the reign of Shahjahan Begum, the chief ruler of Bhopal, but was interrupted due to lack of funds. It was later completed by his daughter Sultan Jahan Begum, who is credited with finishing the mosque. The grand central courtyard provides space for thousands of worshippers, and the interior is equally impressive with a beautifully designed prayer hall. The hall has 27 ceilings through slanted arches in huge pillars, 16 of which are decorated with ornate petal designs.
