Red Carpet Wax Museum, Mumbai
This holy shrine of Muslim Sufi Saint Haji Ali is located on a tiny islet in the southern coast of Mumbai near Worli. It offers a captivating view of the scenic Arabian sea. Devotees flock to seek the blessings of the saint. Built of glass, the shrine can only be accessed during the low tides via a causeway that is engulfed by the sea on all sides. The mosque, placed in a central marble courtyard is made in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture. It houses the tomb that is roofed by a beautiful brocaded red and green cloth and is supported by a beautiful silver frame and marble columns engraved with colorful mirror work: At night, the divine view of the well-lit shrine with the sea around it is a captivating sight.
