About Amar Jawan Jyoti
Amar Jawan Jyoti was built to commemorate the martyrdom and bravery of the soldiers who laid down their lives for the country after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Which was established in the year 1972 by Indira Gandhi under India Gate on Rajpath in New Delhi.

The monument is built of pink sandstone on a black marble pedestal. For the construction of Amar Jawan Jyoti Smarak in Jaipur, a thousand tons of stones were cut and polished by hand chisels by expert craftsmen from Jaipur and Jodhpur and it took 165 days to make it.
