About Choti Dargah
Choti Dargah is a mausoleum located in Maner, also known as Maner Sharif. Here is the tomb of the Muslim saint Makhdoom Shah who was buried here in 1616. This architecturally stunning mausoleum was constructed in 1619 by Ibrahim Khan. The dargah makes for a pleasant sight with its four minarets, exquisite motifs on the walls, ceiling carved with Quranic verses and a beautiful central dome. There is also a huge pond in front of the dargah. It is a popular dargah for Muslims in Patna and surrounding areas.
Architecture of Choti Dargah
The three-storey small dargah structures clearly reveal the influence of the Mughal architectural style. The interiors of the walls are decorated with intricate designs and the ceiling has excerpts from the Quran. It is built in red sandstone as an important feature of that period. It is not only the attraction of Muslims but also the center of attraction for all the tourists from all parts of the world.
