Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Library is a historical library in the city of Patna, Bihar. This library has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 1969. It is funded by the Indian Ministry of Culture. The library was opened to the public on 29 October 1891 by Khan Bahadur Khuda Baksh.
The Khuda Bakhsh Library houses a vast collection of over 18000 Arabic and Persian manuscripts and over 2000 rare paintings belonging to the Mughal and Rajput eras. The library is a unique repository of past heritage, preserved in the form of manuscripts, written on paper, palm leaves, deer skins, clothes and miscellaneous materials.
