About Mother House
The Mother House was established in 1953 by Mother Teresa and has been the epicenter of her charitable activities. It is where she lived, prayed, and carried out her humanitarian work, caring for the destitute, sick, and dying. It was from here that she and her fellow sisters extended their mission worldwide.

- Mother Teresa was born in Skopje, now in North Macedonia, and arrived in Kolkata in 1929.She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her work with the Missionaries of Charity.Mother Teresa passed away in 1997, and she is buried in the chapel of the Mother House.
