Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal, Noida

Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal is a contemporary memorial complex located in Sector 95, Noida, developed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and inaugurated in 2011 during the tenure of Chief Minister Mayawati. Conceived as a tribute to social reformers and leaders associated with Dalit history, the site holds strong cultural, educational, and tourism significance. Spread over approximately 33 acres (about 13.5 hectares), the monument is known for its formal layout, axial pathways, and symbolic sculptures. Built in the early 21st century, it reflects modern commemorative architecture influenced by Buddhist, Mauryan, and monumental public design traditions.

The architecture of the Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal follows a large memorial style based on Buddhist symbols and contemporary civic design. Built primarily from red and pink sandstone sourced from Rajasthan, the complex emphasizes durability, symmetry, and clarity of form. The project, completed between 2009 and 2011 under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh state government, showcases the state's monumental architecture of the early 21st century. The use of heavy-duty stone masonry, wide paved courtyards, and elevated platforms ensured its durability and dignity.
