About Shri Vishwanath Mandir
The New Vishwanath Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city of Varanasi, India. It is situated in the heart of Varanasi in the famous Banaras Hindu University. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and offers a serene atmosphere. The construction of the temple took 35 years, it was constructed in the year 1931-66, the height of the temple is 77 meters which is actually quite high as compared to other temples in the country. The new Vishwanath temple integrates every element of the Hindu universe i.e. good and evil.

The total height of New Vishwanath Temple is about 77 meters. The design of the temple was inspired by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple and is mostly made of marble.
