About Heritage Transport Museum
Heritage Transport Museum is the premier museum in India dealing with the history of human transport. It is located in Tauru in Gurgaon district of Haryana state. The collection focuses on the development of transportation in India. It became the largest private museum in India when it opened in 2013.
The museum is a progressive result of one man - Tarun Thakral's passion for transportation-collection. The museum is home to more than 2,500 curated objects, the vast and diverse collection of this museum is classified into different sections: pre-mechanized and heavily mechanized transport, railways, aviation, maritime transport, rural and indigenous transport, two-wheeled and popular and Collectible Indian toys on the Tribal Art section.
The objective behind the museum is to share its rich and varied collection with a large number of people and give them a fun learning experience. The collection represents not only objects directly related to transportation but also socio-cultural life and art associated with it also represents.

The Heritage Transport Museum is located on a three-acre plot. A built-up area of over 90,000 square feet of air-conditioned space spread over four floors houses exhibition galleries, library, conference rooms, mini auditorium etc.
