About Bhimashankar Trek

Bhimashankar Temple has ancient roots with references going back to several historical scriptures. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, making it a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus. The legend associated with this temple is that Lord Shiva defeated the demon Tripurasura here, and the sweat that poured off his body is believed to have formed the Bhima River.

The wooden entrance of the temple is intricately designed, and the temple complex has a large bell crafted by the Portuguese.
