About Gunadala Matha Shrine
The Gunadala Math Temple, dedicated to Mother Mary, is an important place of worship for Christians. Located in the hilly area of Gunadala, this St. Mary's Church, also known as Mary Monastery Shrine, was built in 1971. A huge iron cross set here which can be seen from afar. The church complex has a museum where you can learn more about the church and its importance and it also displays sacred relics from ancient times.
There is also a huge crowd of tourists during the annual festival of Our Lady of Lourdes. Not only is it a great pilgrimage place for Christians, but people from many other religions also visit this church.
