About Hazratbal Mosque
The Hazratbal Mosque, located in Vijayawada, houses the relics of the Prophet, making it a holy site for Muslim devotees in the city. The construction of this dargah started in 1968 under the supervision of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah of Muslim Auqaf Trust and the construction of this white marble building with domed structure was completed in the year 1979.
The specialty of this mosque is that it is one of the rare. Mosques in India have relics of Prophet Muhammad which are displayed once a year. People of all castes and religions can come here, there is no discrimination against anyone here.

This white structure is one of the most captivating stops in Vijayawada and is said to house the Prophet's hair, an extraordinarily beautiful building of complex Persian and Iranian architectural influence. It is the only domed mosque in Srinagar and truly a place of peace.
