Kondapalli Fort, located on Ghat Road in Kondapalli, Andhra Pradesh, is a historic hill fort built in the 14th century during the reign of the Tuluva dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire. Built on a hilltop, this fortress served as a military stronghold and administrative center, overseeing the region's trade routes. Spanning approximately 10 hectares, the fort complex defensive examples architecture, with its sturdy stone walls, gateways, and watchtowers.Influenced by Dravidian and Indo-Islamic styles, its layout incorporates natural rocky terrain with terraced enclosures, reflecting a blend of regional craftsmanship and strategic planning that has drawn historians and tourists alike.

Kondapalli Fort exhibits classic South Indian hill fort architecture, combining Vijayanagara military engineering with local building techniques. Made mostly of granite and lime mortar, the fort is built according to the shape of the hill to provide maximum protection against attacks. It underwent renovations under the Qutb Shahi rulers in the 16th–17th centuries, who added fortified bastions and expanded the internal enclosures. The fort features multiple defensive and residential structures arranged over terraced levels, demonstrating advanced planning and stone masonry expertise.
