About Subramanya Swami Temple
Subramanya Swamy Temple dedicated to Lord of serpents Kartikeya is situated at the foothills of Indrakeeladari hills in Vijayawada. All three forms of Lord Subramanya are worshiped in the temple- first Sri Dandyudhapani Swamy as a boy, second Sri Valli Devayanai, third his original form and lastly as a snake. It is the natural abode of snakes and the entrance of the temple is made from behind, from where you can walk around the deity.
Constructed of dazzling white marble, the interior and exterior of the structure are inlaid with elaborate intricate carvings and are an architectural masterpiece. One of the main attractions of the temple is its Garuda pillar which is covered with silver lining.

The entire temple is constructed with white marble and is beautifully decorated. Very good artwork has been made on the outer and inner walls of this holy temple.
