Bangalore Fort, Bangalore
Bangalore Fort in the year 1537 was just a mud fort. In 1761 Hyder Ali changed the mud fort into a stone fort, which was further enhanced by Tipu Sultan his son in the 18th Century. Though not much of the Bangalore fort remains today it is an ancient heritage
of the city. It was a huge fort but currently, only the Delhi Gate and a section of the fortification are visible. In the earlier times even Tipu Sultan’s summer fort was also a part of the Bangalore Fort but today it is a separate structure. Some of the attractions within the Bangalore Fort are Fort High School, Kote Venkataramana Temple, and Vani Vilas Hospital.
