The Vijayawada Light Metro is a light rail transit (LRT) system consisting of 2 lines and 51 stations, proposed to be built by the Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (APMRC), formerly known as the Vijayawada Metro Rail Corporation (APMRC), in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, and the city of Amaravati. The project is currently awaiting approval from the state government.
