Several experts have raised their voice for extending the Mumbai Monorail Line 1, but there are no specific plans to expand the system.

The monorail, as its name suggests, runs on a narrow, single track. A lightweight structure allows the trains to navigate sharp turns in congested urban areas.

In an emergency, passengers may not be able to immediately exit because the monorail vehicle is high above ground and not all systems have emergency walkways.

The avrage speed of monorail is 32 km/h (20 mph) and the Top speed is 80 km/h (50 mph).

Photography is not allowed anywhere in first floor including ticketing area but photography is allowed in the platform on upper floor and inside the coach.
