The Pune Metro Line-3 project from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar is expected to be completed by March 2025. The project is being executed by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL). So far, 60% of the work has been completed. This metro line will be 23.2 km long, consisting of 923 pillars and 23 stations.

Metro services between Jahangirpuri to Samaypur Badli will be closed every night from 10:45 pm to 7:02 am from the night of November 30-December 1, 2024 to the night of December 8-9. During this time, Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector 18-19, and Haiderpur Badli Mor stations will remain closed. However, metro services between Jahangirpuri and Millennium City Centre (Gurugram) will run normally during regular daytime.

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) plans to start operations on the second phase of the Metro 3 Aqua Line between Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Cuffe Parade by May 2025. Metro 3 is a 33.5 km long underground corridor running from Colaba to Seepz, with 27 stations, of which 26 are underground and one is at grade.

Bengaluru's Airport Metro (Blue Line) will open in two phases by 2026. Four of the six coaches of each Blue Line metro train will have luggage racks for passengers travelling to KIA. The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) terminal-Hebbal section will open first between June and September 2026, followed by the Hebbal-KR Pura section within a few months in December.
