About Birla Mandir

Birla Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Hyderabad, India. The temple was built by the Birla Foundation, a leading industrial and philanthropic organization of India. It was opened to the public in 1976. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, a form of Lord Vishnu, who is highly revered in Hinduism. It is also known as Venkateswara Swamy Temple. The temple is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of religious tolerance and unity. People of all religions are welcome to come and pray here.

Architecture of Birla Mandir

This temple shows a mixture of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architecture. It is constructed from 2000 tons of pure white marble. The granite idol of the presiding deity Lord Venkateshwara is about 11 feet (3.4 m) high and has a carved lotus at the top forming a canopy. The temple complex has a brass flagpole that rises to a height of 42 feet (13 m).
