Chilkur Balaji Temple is located in Chilkur, a village on the outskirts of Hyderabad, India. The temple is known for its unique practices, devotees' belief in the deity's ability to grant visas, and its no-dealing policy. The presiding deity of Balaji Temple is Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu. The deity is also known as "Visa Balaji" because of the temple's reputation for helping devotees secure visas for foreign travel. Devotees often come to the temple to perform 11 circumambulation (Pradakshina) around the sanctum sanctorum and pray for the fulfillment of their wishes, especially those related to visas and immigration.
