About Durgam Cheruvu
Durgam Cheruvu, also known as Rayadurgam Cheruvu, is a freshwater lake located in Rangareddy district of Telangana state, India. The lake is also known as Gupta Lake as it is hidden between the areas of Jubilee Hills and Madhapur.
The bridge by construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) across the inaccessible Cheruvu lake in Hitech City was inaugurated by Telangana's Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao in September 2020. The inaccessible Cheruvu was built by the royal kings to meet the water needs of the residents.
