About Chudi Bazaar

Chudi Bazar or Laad Bazaar has a history in the city as it is named after Ladli Begum, wife of Mir Mehboob Khan, Nizam of Hyderabad. Laad Bazaar is a popular market in Hyderabad known for its colorful lac and glass bangles. The market has derived its name from 'lad' which means 'lacquer' which is used to make bangles on which you can see artificial stones inlaid.

The chudi bajar in the old town near Charminar is about 1 km long. With all the shiny stones and gleaming effect 6-7 people make lac bangles in 3 hours.
