About Hatiyan Jhad Baobab Tree
Hatian Jhad Baobab tree which is 400 years old tree which makes it the oldest tree in Hyderabad. The tree originated from Madagascar in Africa and is believed to have been brought to India by Arab traders. The tree is called "Hatian Jhad" because of its curved and pointed stem that looks like an elephant. With a trunk about 25 meters in circumference, it has a hollow cavity inside that is so large that according to popular legend 40 people fit inside.

The circumference of this tree is 27.40 meters (89 ft), apart from this a cave has also been made between the branches of this tree. To enter the tree one has to climb a large tree trunk which leads to an opening in the centre.
