About KBR National Park

Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Park, popularly known as KBR National Park, a vast expanse of lush greenery and rich fauna is situated in the heart of Hyderabad city- Jubilee Hills. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park is home to many amazing and exotic species of different animals and is also a semi-forest. There are 600 species of plants, including trees, shrubs, climbers, herbs, grasses and xerophytes. This rich variety of flowering plants includes a large number of insectivorous plants such as the Drosera flycatcher plant, sundew and Acacia campbell.

You can find 130 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles, 15 species of butterflies, 20 species of mammals and many invertebrates here. It was declared a National Park by the Andhra Pradesh State Government in the year 1998 after obtaining approval from the Central Government.

Architecture of KBR National Park

Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park is spread over an area of 142 hectares and is divided into two areas- one part is smaller than the other. One area is called a conservation area, while the other is designated as a visitor area.

  4. There is a watchtower for the guests. The thirty feet high watchtower is a construction in 2012, wherever we will have our eye on the park. There is an additional climbing tower near the Chiran Palace, which was built in 1999 and measures twenty feet in height.
