About NTR Gardens

NTR Garden is located near the famous Necklace Road in the Hussain Sagar Lake area of Hyderabad. The park was inaugurated in 2002 by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu as a tribute to NTR's contribution to the state. It is maintained by the Buddha Purnima Project Authority which functions under the instructions of the Government of Telangana. The NTR Garden has a number of attractions and facilities, including a large monument to NTR, a Japanese garden, a souvenir shop, a toy train, a cascading waterfall, a fruit restaurant and a car parking area. The highlight of the park is the Japanese Garden, designed to replicate a traditional Japanese landscape. It includes elements such as stone lantern, bonsai plant, zen garden, and more. NTR Memorial Park is a major structure dedicated to the great actor and politician. It houses a life-size bronze statue of NTR and is surrounded by well-maintained lawns. Its central location makes it easily accessible to both locals and tourists.

The park is spread over an area of about 36 acres and has been built at a cost of Rs 2 crore. Apart from 400 million different types of plants, the gardens also have a souvenir complex, a visitor train, restaurants and a waterfall.
