About Vetal Hill
Vetal Hill located in Pune is also known as Vetal Tekdi. It is one of the most famous places among the locals living in Pune. Vetal Hill is situated at an altitude of about 2600 feet and is one of the highest places in Maharashtra. The hill is a wonderful area for avid walkers, joggers and cyclists. This scenic spot is surrounded by lush greenery and has a lot of old trees.
It is a paradise for bird watchers as it is home to a lot of migratory birds. There is a temple of Vetala situated on the top of the hill from where this hill gets its name. An observation deck has been placed near the temple by the Indian Forest Department which children love to explore.
