Beypore is an ancient port town and a local town in Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala. Beypore beach is a combination of a sea beach, a leisure cum waterfall and backwaters typical of Kerala. The beach is long and clean and the beautiful waves give the name to its shores. Beypore port is the second largest port in Kerala after Cochin and currently handles around 100,000 tonnes of cargo and 7500 passengers per year.
The beach boasts of a nearly 2 km long promenade at one of its ends that extends into the Arabian Sea and a walk on it is a treat for all visitors. A nice place to hang out with family and friends or to spend some quiet moments with loved ones.
