About Mittayi Theruvu Street
SM Street, it is located in Kozhikode or Calicut Town in North Kerala. Also known as Mittai Theruvu, it is one of the busiest streets and shopping spots in Calicut. The history of SM Street dates back to the time of Zamorin when the ruler invited Gujarati sweet makers to set up shop in the city and accommodated their shops just outside the palace walls.
