About Chattar Manzil
Chhatar Manzil is also called Chhatar Mahal because the shape of its dome is like a canopy. Chhatar Manzil is a historical building in Lucknow. It was started in 1814 by the Nawab of Awadh Ghaziuddin Haider and was completed in 1828 by his successor Nawab Nasiruddin Haider after his death. Presently this palace is known as the office of Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI).

The architecture of Chhattar Manzil is a wonderful blend of Italian and French styles. It is a five storey building with two floors built below ground. The grand building consists of large underground rooms and a dome surrounded by a gilt canopy.

- At present, there is no ticket for roaming around it, photography and videography are allowed.
