About ISKCON Temple
The temple was opened in 1997 on the orders of A C Bhakti Vedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON Society. The ISKCON temple in Ahmedabad is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his beloved girlfriend Radha.
The temple is of great importance as it is still considered as the most popular temple in Ahmedabad. The ISKCON temple was built as a step to spread the teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to as many people as possible, the peaceful atmosphere and the rhythmic chants of Hare Krishna invoke a sense of happiness and peace of mind.
