About Sidi Saiyyed Mosque

Sidi Sayyed Mosque is one of the most famous mosques in the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat. It was constructed by Sidi Sayyid which started in 1572 and was completed in 1573. This mosque is very famous for its twin windows. The mosque was used as a government office in the past but is now under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India.

Architecture of Sidi Saiyyed Mosque

There are marble curtains inside the Sidi Sayyed Mosque. The mosque is fully arched and is known for its ten intricately carved stone lattice windows and rear arches. The Sidi Sayyed Mosque is architecturally built in the Indo-Islamic style. It is made of yellow sandstone. This lattice carving was made by 45 artisans together.
