About ISKCON Temple

The ISKCON temple is part of the Chennai Center for Spiritual Arts and Culture and is located on the East Coast Road in Hare Krishna Bhoomi, Sholinganallur. The deities worshiped in the temple include Radha Krishna Lalita Vishakha, Jagannath Baldev Subhadra and Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga. The ISKCON temple in Chennai is a part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) organization. The foundation of ISKCON was laid by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the United States during the 1960s. ISKCON temples around the world, including Chennai, aim to promote the teachings and principles of Bhakti Yoga and spread the message of love and devotion towards Lord Krishna.
