About Cubbon Park
Cubbon Park's history dates back to the 19th century when Sir Mark Cubbon, the then Commissioner of Mysore, envisioned a green space for the residents of Bangalore. The park was initially named "Meades Park" after Sir John Meade, but was later renamed in honor of Sir Mark Cuban, who played a key role in its development. Since then the park has become full of greenery and an important part of Bangalore's heritage. Its campus records a rich history of plantations with many impressive and aesthetically situated buildings and statues of famous persons as well as abundant flora and fauna.
