Nagpur Metro Aqua Line Extension in Phase 2
The Aqua Line (Line 2) of the Nagpur Metro is being expanded to a second phase. This phase includes two major extensions: a 6.6-km section from Lokmanya Nagar to Hingna in the west, known as Reach 3A, and a 5.5-km section from Prajapati Square to Transport Nagar in the east, known as Reach 4A.This project is planned to be completed by November 2027.

The second phase of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project will receive a total funding of Rs 3,586 crore from ADB and European Investment Bank (EIB). Of this, Rs 1,527 crore will be provided by ADB, for which the agreement was signed on Tuesday. The Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase-II will cover a total distance of 43.8 km, consisting of four routes.

The service began with the operation of 32 buses, of which 10 buses are dedicated to routes serving students. Feeder bus service started from Government College of Engineering at Wardha Road to New Airport Metro Station from 26 November 2024.
