Delhi Metro Smart Card Price and where to get it?

Delhi Metro Smart Card total purchase cost is Rs. 150/-, with the Includes Rs. 50/- security deposit and Rs. 100/- as the initial card value. Smart Cards can be purchased from Customer Care Centre of any Station & from Smart Card Vending Machine (SCVM) available at selected metro stations. No ID card is required to purchase this card.

Discount on Delhi Metro Card:

  • A discount of 10% will be given on every journey made by the passenger on Delhi Metro Smart card.
  • Additional discount @10% is given to commuters using Delhi Metro Smart card who enter during non-peak hours.
  • Non-Peak Hours as per DMRC is (a) from the Start of Revenue Service to Before 08.00 AM. (b) from 12.00 Noon to Before 05.00 PM and last (c) from 09.00 PM to Closing of Revenue Service.
  • The additional discount will be available during weekdays from Monday to Saturday except National Holidays viz Republic Day (26th January), Independence Day (15th August) & Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October).

Rules on Delhi Metro Card:

  • Delhi Metro card valid for 10 years from date of last recharge.
  • A minimum balance equivalent to the minimum fare of the system (presently Rs.10/-) is required to enter in Delhi metro at any station.
  • Minimum and Maximum recharge in Delhi metro card: Minimum of Rs.200/- and thereupon in multiples of Rs.100/- i.e. Rs.300/-, Rs.400/-…. maximum up to Rs.3000/-.
  • Irrespective of use, only security deposit (Rs.50/-) amount will be refunded after depositing the card.
  • Children up to 3 feet (90 cm) in height are allowed to travel free if accompanied by an adult. The child is to be carried in arms (above the gate flap level) to avoid the possibility of flaps hitting the child while Entry/Exit at AFC gates. Children above 3 feet (90 cm) will be charged full fare.

What is Delhi Metro NCMC Paytm Wallet Transit Card?

Delhi metro's National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is the upgraded version of the Contactless metro smart card and this card is an inter-operable transport card conceived by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Government of India. The NCMC card is issuable as a prepaid, debit, or credit RuPay card from partnered banks such as the State Bank of India, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and others.

How to get Delhi Metro NCMC Paytm Wallet Transit Card?

RBI/NPCI has authorized many banks to issue these NCMC cards, which include State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Paytm Payment Bank etc. are included. Even in Delhi Metro, Paytm counters are available at every metro station.

If you want to buy a Paytm Wallet Transit Card then follow following steps:

  • Review the NCMC application form and enter all required information, including name, email address, phone number, and city.
  • Now Press on “Apply Now” button.
  • Log in to the Paytm app and activate the card once all necessary information has been submitted.
  • Choose the option to purchase a physical transit card.
  • Upon completing the process, the Paytm transit card will be delivered to the user’s home.

  • Log in to the Paytm app and select the Paytm wallet.

Important Instructions of Delhi Metro NCMC Paytm Wallet Transit Card

Here we share the terms and important instructions of Paytm Wallet Transit Card as per the official site of Paytm:

  • Paytm Wallet Transit Card is be used to pay for retail shopping & online transactions but other charges apply.
  • You can view your balance under the ‘Transit wallet’ in the “Passbook” section of your Paytm App.
  • If the card is lost or stolen, you should report the loss/theft to Paytm customer care. Upon adequate verification, Paytm will suspend the card and block all transactions from the card.
  • Also, please disable all payment methods from the Paytm app under ‘Card Payment Setting’ on Transit Card.
  • Liabilities (due to lost/stolen card), in case of offline balance available on the card, will lie with the user, and Paytm will not be responsible for any refunds.
  • When your Paytm transit card is damaged/not working then, please reach out to Paytm customer care. They will assist you in suspending the card and will refund the applicable amount.

Book a Delhi metro ticket from WhatsApp

  • Open WhatsApp and send a message saying "Hi" to the newly added contact number.
  • Once connected, choose your preferred language.

WhatsApp Metro ticket booking service features

  • While WhatsApp ticketing booking is easy to use and pay for, there are few things to consider before booking a ticket.
  • You can book up to 6 QR tickets at once.
  • The metro lines are open from 6 am to 9 pm, except for the Airport Line (Orange Line) which runs from 4 am to 11 pm.
  • You cannot cancel your tickets if you use WhatsApp Ticketing.
  • You will pay a small extra fee for credit/debit card payments, but not for UPI payments. You can use the same QR ticket for the whole day.
  • You have 65 minutes to leave the metro station after you enter.
  • To use your QR ticket, scan the QR code at the station entrance.
