Passengers can purchase Smart cards at any operational station by Payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- as Security Deposit and Rs. 50/- as Stored Value) through Cash or POS (Debit/Credit Card). Stored Value Can be used for traveling in Ahmedabad Metro as per the fare chart.

Discount on Ahmedabad Metro Card:

Rules on Ahmedabad Metro Card:

• Cashless Smart Card valid for 5 Years from date of Last Recharge.
• Tap Smart Card at the Entry Fare Gate to Enter into the paid area and at the Exit Fare Gate to Exit from the paid area.
• If the Entry-Exit sequence does not follow. There will be an Entry-Exit Mismatch Error in CSC. Passengers shall contact Customer Care at the station to eliminate error.
• Requirement of Minimum Stored Value: A Minimum Stored value of Rs. 20 is required to enter is minimum fare of the system.
• Fare will be deducted at Exit Fare Gates as per journey performed. In case of Entry and exit at the same station, a Minimum Fare Rs.10 will be deducted.
• Passenger can check their Stored Value / Metro Card Amount through the Recharge Card Machine (RCM) and ENQ Machine.
• Stored Value amount of Cashless Smart Card will not be refunded in Cash.
• In case of Unreadable CSC, refund of Stored Value will be provided in new CSC as per Business Rules of GMRC.
• If a passenger wants to refund Readable CSC, only Security Deposit will be refunded after deducting admin charges as per Business Rules of GMRC.
• Process for Refund of Stored value of Unreadable CSC in new CSC will take up to 7 days.

It functions as an interoperable transport card and is issued in the forms of prepaid, debit, or credit RuPay cards. Partnered banks, including the State Bank of India, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and more, facilitate the issuance of the NCMC.

National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is used in Ahmedabad Metro for travel purpose.
